Teaching Children to Tell Their Own Stories

Every child has a story to tell. My workshops are designed to help them gain the confidence and skills to share their stories with others.

The Workshop Structure

Over two hours, children learn the fundamentals of storytelling: beginning, middle, and end; character voices; gesture and movement; and the art of audience engagement. We practice with traditional tales before creating original stories.

Building Confidence

Many children arrive shy and uncertain. By the end of the workshop, they’ve performed in front of their peers and discovered they have something valuable to share. This confidence transfers to other areas of their academic and social lives.
